Since I started this blog a few days
ago, I've been searching for similar active blogs by people who work
in the space industry and feature personal stories rather than editorial or news
aggregate. So far, this is what I've found:
Ry In Space (Ryan Kobrick's blog)
There's got to be more of us out there!
Recommendations?
Off the top of my head: Transterrestrial Musings, Selenian Boondocks, Leonard David, Homer Hickam. I used to maintain the Space Blogroll (until blogrolling dot com died) and had over 200 active blogs listed at one time. You might want to check out some of the small space companies' blogs as well: Altius, Masten, Copenhagen Suborbitals, and others ... check out HobbySpace for more.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your reply, Ed! I know that there are a lot of great editorial, news, and corporate space blogs out there. I am specifically seeking blogs in the vein of this one - personal stories by people in the industry. Seems to be fairly rare for our industry!
DeleteThere are some space oriented blogs on my page:
ReplyDeleteexoscientist.blogspot.com
Bob Clark
Thanks! I will check that out.
DeleteHonored to be mentioned here! There really aren't too many of us. I enjoyed your posts so far, can't wait to read more about your space adventures! Maybe through your job/travels you will find more of us! My colleague also writes a blog at http://www.rocketsfromcassiopeia.com/ although it may not quite fit the vein you are looking for (a little less personal, and a little more newsy).
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'll check out your colleague's blog. I'm a little surprised there aren't that many of us. On my personal blog, I'm connected to other scientists' private personal blogs, but public blogs seem much more rare. It's nice to read yours!
